What to Know First
The kitchen stove belongs to the Fire element; therefore, color selection should adhere to the principle of "Five Elements balance." White and beige are the most recommended choices: white corresponds to Metal, which consumes Fire, thereby tempering the kitchen's intense fiery energy and fostering family harmony; beige corresponds to Earth - and since Fire generates Earth, this creates a balance between Water and Fire energies. Furthermore, yellow has long symbolized brightness and wealth, helping to boost the household's fortune.
Two color categories should be strictly avoided: first, red and purple. Since the stove is inherently dominated by Fire, using these "fire colors" is akin to adding fuel to the flames; this tends to make people irritable and leads to family discord. Second, black and blue. These belong to the Water element and clash with the stove's fire; not only do they suppress financial luck, but they also create a stifling, gloomy atmosphere in the kitchen, negatively affecting both appetite and mood.
